The Book Place - 1608 Grant Avenue, near 7th Street, Novato
You'll find books in every category--fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, children's books, collector's items and much more. You'll also find CDs, videos, and audiobooks. Books start at just a quarter. We're staffed entirely by volunteers. Hassle-free parking is behind the store.
Donations of books will be accepted Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, BEHIND the store in our parking lot. Enter off 7th Street, near corner of Grant Avenue. Be sure to consult our Donation Guidelines before packing your donations. Thank you in advance!
Masks are optional; please wear one if you are more comfortable doing so.

We take Requests - send us an email, we’ll look for the book to save time, or, if it’s a book we don’t have in stock, get on our waitlist, and we’ll let you know when it comes in.
The Book Place is operated by the Friends of the Marin County Free Library, a nonprofit volunteer organization. All proceeds are used for special programs, needs, and materials for the Marin County Free Libraries.
